National socialist?[edit]

Isn't it a synonym for 'Nazi'? I don't think it is accurate for Perincek.

he isn't a "National Socialist" (and the article never claimed he was), he is a nationalist and a socialist. --dab (𒁳) 11:25, 27 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It turns out that after Workers Party's transformation to Patriotic Party, socialist side of Perinçek seems to have ceased to exist. Now he is trying to enlist hardcore rightist nationalists and supporting Erdoğan with pretext of struggling against FETO terrorist organization. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.164.13.146 (talk) 00:44, 20 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Rename of Category[edit]

Some of you may wish to participate in the discussion on renaming the category Armenian Genocide deniers to Armenian Genocide skeptics. The discussion is here. --Anthon.Eff (talk) 18:15, 1 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed merge with Perinçek v. Switzerland[edit]

WP:CFORK of Doğu Perinçek#Legal issues. Content should be WP:SPINOUT. Widefox; talk 09:11, 15 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Weak Oppose: I would be mildly opposed because the court case is independently notable and the underlying topic is valid. That being said, there's not much in the court case article right now so no strong opposition to merging it until more content is created. RevelationDirect (talk) 04:27, 7 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Strongly Oppose: Perinçek v. Switzerland one of the cases that Turks around the world aware of. Anything about it is well examined and shared throughout the country. An important case about free speech in Europe. And has importance according to contradictory judgements of European law system. See Turkish state documents: https://www.konsolosluk.gov.tr/eKonsolosluk/Sayfalar/Duyuru?ID=14068 See thousands of news about the case at Google News. It's a milestone of Switzerland's sense of freedom. And took place in Switzerland's human rigths reports. It's a must have encyclopedia article. More important than Doğu Perincek himself. --Kafkasmurat (talk) 21:52, 16 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose per the above. The case is notable in its own right and the appeal likely to become a cause célèbre now that Armenia is participating. Obviously the article is in need of expansion and I shall certainly be editing there as the appeal progresses. Meanwhile I have added a "see also" template to the Perinçek article linking the court case. C1cada (talk) 09:45, 13 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
