Did Frank Herbert write the screenplay for Dino De Laurentiis? (October 2018)
In the section "De Laurentiis's first attempt" the article currently reads "De Laurentiis commissioned Herbert to write a new screenplay in 1978". I assume this is Frank Herbert, as that's the only Herbert mentioned in the article. But it's a little unclear. Is there any reason not expand that to "Frank Herbert"? There aren't any citations for that section, so I have no way of verifying who is meant.

Dune (film) → Dune (1984 film) – Legendary Pictures is planning a remake of the movie Dune, featuring Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Dave Bautista and Stellan Skarsgard. The film will be helmed by director Denis Villeneuve. AdamDeanHall (talk) 15:56, 10 January 2019 (UTC)
- Oppose when it comes out you can make the request again עם ישראל חי (talk) 16:27, 10 January 2019 (UTC)
- Oppose per the above. If/when it's released, then the discussion can be re-opened. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 18:34, 10 January 2019 (UTC)
- Support Changing the title would make it clear there are multiple movies. The new movie is already noteworthy, due to the numerous big names attached, while the old movie remains noteworthy. Changing the title would make it clearer. I see little reason to wait a few months. Gdcwd5 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 19:10, 10 January 2019 (UTC)
- Support, contingent on acceptance of Draft:Dune (upcoming film) - once the draft is ready, then this title immediately becomes WP:INCDAB. -- Netoholic @ 19:18, 10 January 2019 (UTC)
- Conditional support On the creation of the article, allow the move when the article is created/shown to be notable, even if that's ages after this RM. Crouch, Swale (talk) 19:21, 10 January 2019 (UTC)
- Oppose. Premature given that the other article doesn't yet exist and the film itself hasn't yet gone into production. PC78 (talk) 00:35, 11 January 2019 (UTC)
- Oppose. The original remains the PRIMARYTOPIC for Dune (film) until the new film has an article and substantial page views. --В²C ☎ 02:04, 11 January 2019 (UTC)
- Oppose per above comments. and per WP:CRYSTAL. Randy Kryn (talk) 04:00, 11 January 2019 (UTC)

- Support even without the new film, there's the miniseries Frank Herbert's Dune and the documentary Jodorowsky's Dune. power~enwiki (π, ν) 18:16, 14 January 2019 (UTC)
- The first is a miniseries, not a film, and the second isn't called Dune (and is pretty obscure in any case)! -- Necrothesp (talk) 15:00, 17 January 2019 (UTC)
- Oppose for now. It's too early for a separate article about the upcoming film, so it's too early to start disambiguating other articles.— TAnthonyTalk 21:12, 15 January 2019 (UTC)
- Oppose for now per others above and would support once filming is verified to have begun. Erik (talk | contrib) (ping me) 21:16, 15 January 2019 (UTC)
