The Phillips Library has digitized a significant amount of our manuscript material related to Morse, including original photographs and correspondence, as well as modern transcripts of his original diaries that he'd later adapted into Japan Day By Day. That site is here: https://pem.quartexcollections.com/collections/edward-s.-morse I'd propose that the collection be added as an external link. - As I'm an employee of the Library, by Wikipedia rules, someone else would need to add that.
