A fact from Elise Primavera appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 4 January 2008, and was viewed approximately 772 times (disclaimer) (check views). The text of the entry was as follows:
Did you know... that Elise Primavera, author and illustrator of the 1999 book Auntie Claus, says she gets her best ideas in the shower?
I believe that there is a guideline that states that, unless it is essential to the understanding of the article and/or widely published elsewhere, we should be cautious about publishing whole dates of birth for currently living people. What do folks think? Alice✉ 03:03, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
Of course not - it's much better! Alice✉ 04:20, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
I don't know about much better, but I'd been working on it for awhile. Thanks for the compliment. My students will probably be getting started contributing within a couple of weeks after the beginning of the new year. I'm targeting January 7-11 for their first contributions. This is not necessary, as both facts are non-controversial. Being "prolific" is sourced in her bibliography, and citation for the "well-reviewed" is in the "Career" section. Please don't tag this article, or remove the non-controversial adjectives, per WP:LEDE. -- BellwetherBC12:49, 30 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
