Nick Quiroz?
[edit]I saw the following link (twitter.com/wehatenick) provided right next to the claim that Spoelstra's father is Nick Quiroz. Can anyone confirm that this in fact the same Nick Quiroz? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ahaque89 (talk • contribs) 04:07, 3 December 2010 (UTC)
First Asian-American NBA head coach?
[edit]Is Spoelstra the first ever Asian-American head coach in the NBA? If he is, that might be worth a mention in the article. --Anyo Niminus (talk) 00:08, 30 April 2008 (UTC)

- He is not only the first Filipino-American head coach, but also the first Asian-American head coach but also now the first to win a championship. PinoyFilAmPride (talk) 04:07, 22 June 2012 (UTC)
LeBron
[edit]Why isn't LeBron mentioned? I'm sure the hoopla surrounding that is noteworthy. As they say down here in Miami, what's good for the goose can't hurt him. Mark Hackman (talk) 04:30, 9 December 2010 (UTC)
Whoever changed Erik Spoelstra's page to read "former" Heat coach
[edit]Congrats... you made it to ESPN. Gamezero05 22:50, 7 June 2012 (UTC)
- Yeah, I saw that and am trying to get Semi-protection. This is silly Soxwon (talk) 23:04, 7 June 2012 (UTC)
- Forbes, too. Lovely. Zagalejo^^^ 00:15, 8 June 2012 (UTC)
- "Minor Loss for the wikipedia model." I really wish Forbes would think twice before spewing crap like that. Wikipedia is the single fastest reference material on the web. It updates as fast as the news, and a price of that speed is sometimes things like this happen. The problem was fixed within two hours which, for a relatively low traffic article, is not bad at all. Seriously, cut us some slack, we can't watch all 4 million articles at once. Soxwon (talk) 03:24, 8 June 2012 (UTC)
- Actually, the specific edit they're talking about was reverted within ten minutes. Still, it wouldn't hurt to have a few more people watching the page. The # of watchers doesn't even register here, because there are so few. Zagalejo^^^ 03:41, 8 June 2012 (UTC)
- The admin only protected it for 1 day. That likely won't be enough. I would say it would need to be protected until the playoffs are over and probably a couple of weeks after. Gamezero05 03:54, 8 June 2012 (UTC)
- I'm not so sure about that. If Spoelstra and the Heat pull out Game 7 in Miami and go onto win the finals it will stop. God help us if the Heat lose Game 7 in Miami though... Soxwon (talk) 07:38, 8 June 2012 (UTC)

Coaching record
[edit]Would it be okay to enter his current wins and losses for the 2013-14 NBA season already without a reference? The reference will change over time.
