Non-free images
[edit]There are way too many non-free images on this page. We should cut them down and use only those which pass all of the non-free content criteria. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 01:18, 22 May 2013 (UTC)
Major works - not encyclopedic
[edit]The list of major works contains some very little known pieces, for which the label 'major work' may be an exaggeration. The list should be limited to encyclopedic content. Batternut (talk) 16:51, 15 July 2015 (UTC)

Public domain
[edit]Fernando Amorsolo has been dead for 50 years. Therefore, his works entered public domain on January 1, 2023 per Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines. I would like to request to update all of his non-free images into public domain images, and ultimately transfer them into Commons. Thank you! Ishagaturo (talk) 02:40, 18 February 2023 (UTC)
- Question: If URAA in the United States is in effect even for Philippine works, would that mean that all of his works have life term plus 70 years (January 1, 2043), am I correct? If that's so, then they will only be allowed to be hosted on Wikimedia Commons on January 1, 2043 instead of January 1, 2023. Ishagaturo (talk) 09:21, 23 November 2023 (UTC)
Is the image in the article at the Cememetry non free?
[edit]- What is your take on this: statue, taken 27 April 2008 monument at Loyola memorial park; I tagged speedy deletion to my uploated image gold painted only my photo on September 15 , 2023. Am I correct in tagging it for speedy deletion? I mean to say, the 2008 photo was just painted with cheap gold paint in 2022, does painting make it non free? very sincerely yours Valenzuela400 (talk) 10:22, 5 July 2024 (UTC).
