Hütteroth and Abdulfattah -typo

[edit]

I assume there is a typo in the H&A entrance for this village; it lists 13) 24) 15) 16)...does not make sense. I assume 24) is typo for 14), i.e wheat. Huldra (talk) 22:20, 28 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Can't it be renamed "Fiq (Golan Heights)"/"Fiq (occupied Golan Heights)"?

[edit]

@Anas Salloum, Huldra, and Zero0000: Not to hide the internationally recognised Syrian claims for territorial restitution, but for helping the user find it and relate to it. It so happens that you cannot reach it from Damascus, not even by drone :) Seriously, this would help, without any political prejudice to anyone. Make it "Fiq (occupied Golan Heights)" if you prefer, just connect it better to reality please. Thanks, Arminden (talk) 05:36, 23 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Anas Salloum, Huldra, and Zero0000: nothing new, just that the title stayed the same - and has been failing the reality check for - how many years by now? Pls note, I never suggested "Fiq (Israel)", but "Fiq (Golan)"/"Fiq (occupied Golan)". With redirects and cross-connections to & from every Syrian category, down to "Assad's playground" and "Outskirts of Damascus". Wikipedia is made for the sake of helping people with useful information, not for settling political & military scores and creating justice for real-life refugees in virtual reality. Whatever, stone walls hardly ever fall, as shown by the ruins of Fiq, and common sense is not an earthquake. Arminden (talk) 11:56, 8 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Its a Syrian village in Syria. No reason to change it. --Supreme Deliciousness (talk) 13:31, 8 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with SD. It ceased to exist after the Israeli occupation, so there is no need to even consider a different name. Moreover, it was Syrian both ethnically and politically. Zerotalk 15:38, 8 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Comment: User:Arminden: now you seriously disappoint me. You got no support when you asked for it two years ago, then you now unilaterally move the article: this is bad editing, as you should know by now. In addition: I note that you didn't ping Supreme Deliciousness, who is one of the top contributors to this page. On the subject: Fiq (Golan) is a redirect to this page, in case anyone is worrying that people cannot find the article, Feel free to make Fiq (Golan Heights) and/or Fiq (occupied Golan Heights) redirs, too. 'Aqabat Fiq / Ascent of Fiq (Aphek?)

[edit]

I came here only to look for info about the ascent. The route was for sure used long before the Umayyad repairs, this should be researched and included. Arminden (talk) 15:53, 7 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
