Citation needed[edit]

There is a line that states that the Umberslade Children's farm is still run by the Muntz family and that a citation is needed. I attempted to edit the page to add the citation but it would not allow me to edit so I figured i'd leave it here.

The sources differ about the spelling. One of the reference links gives his spelling as 'Frederic', even though he had some descendants who used the name 'Frederick'. Since he was a member of Parliament starting in 1840 his name ought to be in some good quality reference books. EdJohnston (talk) 03:16, 24 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Yep, I do agree. Looking into this further there does appear to be conflicting sources on his name. The National Archives for example states his name as George Frederick Muntz ([1]) and the Dictionary of National Biography, 1885-1900 ([2]) also spells it this way. The dictionary appears to an authority on late 19th century political figures. The National Portrait Gallery spells it Frederick too ([3]). The History of Muntz Park ([4]) spells it Frederic as does the Birmingham Post([5])and Airworks: A History ([6]).
If you google George Frederick Muntz (you'll get books and websites spelling it that way) and if you google George Frederic Muntz (you'll get books and websites spelling it that way!) The Hansard can't help here either - it misses Muntz's middle name out altogether ([7]).
Perhaps the title needs changing to George Muntz to end confusion? It's not taken and we could place redirects on the articles with the middle names. Thunderstorm008 (talk) 23:34, 29 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
