Requested move
[edit]There is no other article associated with the title "Gone Too Soon", and this article was moved for no specified reason whatsoever. Ss112 (Talk here!) 08:55, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
Agree. Realist2 ('Come Speak To Me') 08:57, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
It's been done. The edit history seems to indicate that it was moved in error to Gone Too Soon (album), and the same user then moved it to Gone Too Soon (single) on realising their mistake. Other admins have tidied it all up, and IMO this move request can now be closed as uncontroversial. Andrewa (talk) 19:30, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
New Article?
[edit]How is this a new article? It's been here since 2006. Superior1 (talk) 04:33, 24 August 2009 (UTC)
- For purposes of DYK, a "new" article can be a former redirect, stub, or other short article in which the prose portion has been expanded fivefold or more within the last five days. "Gone Too Soon" is considered acceptable as "new" because it has been expanded fivefold. Pyrrhus16 08:14, 24 August 2009 (UTC)
Diana stuff
[edit]I have trimmed the lengthy section on Diana's death as irrelevant. The story of the song is Ryan White, and nothing else. Diana's life story is not needed, nor is her relationship with the paparazzi, as there are other articles for that. And as for talking about Michael giving a Bad jacket to Prince William, I am well and truly puzzled. It simply has no place here in an article about a song written 3 years afterwards.
Aside from the coincidence that she also supported AIDS, the only aspect worth mentioning is that Michael allowed the song to be used on a DIana compilation CD. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.141.22.84 (talk) 10:18, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
- Actually, the song has existed since 1983. It was Jackson's recording that is dedicated to White. MaJic (comments go here) 22:01, 25 June 2012 (UTC)
