What is up with Wikipedia?

[edit]

Why is it that when I tried to create this article it was deleted, and yet when someone else does the same it remains open? I wish the deletionists would at least give more leeway for an article to be improve. My congratulations to the creator however, you've done a good job on the existing content. MasterOfHisOwnDomain (talk) 20:27, 2 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It was apparently deleted because of a lack of context. I wasn't aware that an article had been made before, just saw some coverage of the game and noted there wasn't an article. Try building articles up as much as possible before creating them and whacking a few sources in, which should prevent both speedy-deletion and AFD on notability grounds. It's difficult to build up an article before creating it, because a slip or glitch and all the stuff is gone, and often I will want to create it then add to it.. Still, hopefully we can improve this one sufficiently. MasterOfHisOwnDomain (talk) 17:11, 9 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
If you're in any doubt then just work on it in your user space (this article was returned to mine because it still needed further evidence of notability). I dropped Chocolatier (video game) into WP after it already had most of the content needed for a GA attempt. Doing so also means you can nominate your creation for WP:DYK if it contains an interesting nugget of info. Someoneanother 03:11, 18 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Name Change

[edit]

This article should have a name change to simply Iji. There are no other titles with Iji and until there are this can simply be called Iji. Dmaster270 (talk) 22:49, 3 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Done. Salavat (talk) 07:14, 6 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. Dmaster270 (talk) 02:16, 17 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Who reverted this? Carrot Lord (talk) 23:28, 23 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
No one reverted this. There is a disambig page at the location specified above. John F. Lewis (talk) 23:30, 23 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Access dates

[edit]

I have no idea what the access dates for some of the citations should be, but some of them seem to be from the future... 69.251.146.209 (talk) 06:06, 10 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

That would be me, and then because of Wikipedia's date policy. I normally use day-month-year (outside of WP), but I probably put the month and day the wrong way round. Thanks for correcting it. MasterOfHisOwnDomain (talk) 07:21, 10 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Reallyjoel's Dad's Mode?

[edit]

I'm kinda disappointed that Reallyjoel's dad mode isn't included in this article. I don't know anything about wikipedia, and probably would end up screwing it up XD. Could anyone add some stuff about it? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 204.11.178.66 (talk) 02:03, 9 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the input, but Wikipedia usually doesn't go into such detail as you're suggesting; you've got to remember it's an encyclopedia and not a game guide. MasterOfHisOwnDomain (talk) 19:04, 24 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Unofficial OSX/Linux port is live

[edit]

Sorlok reaves (talk): Hello all. I just wanted to keep you up-to-date on some technicalities of this game's cross-platform status. There is a native port of Iji to Linux/OSX (also supporting Windows) that is now in beta. (I have been the primary developer.) Daniel Remar is aware of the port, and it falls under the terms of the ports license that you linked to in the main article. It is quite stable, and playable through to the end credits. It outperforms the Wine approach in general. I am not really a Wikipedia contributor, but I wanted to make you aware of this in case you want to change the article.
