To be sorted out
[edit][Bearbeiten] Biographie The surname „of Buchau “agitates from there that their father gave it the Benediktiner-Kloster Buchau on the island Buchau in the Federsee in Württemberg as Pfründe too own. There it had been educated already together with their three sisters and probably also as a nun entered. Whether it already was in Buchau Äbtissin, seems against it doubtfuly.
Before 857 it changed into the Benediktinerinnen-Kloster Frauenchiemsee (also: Frauenwörth), probably already in the function as Äbtissin. Their task was it, of Tassilo III. the based, in the meantime however got in a bad state and monastery half purged and develop. This brought in the call for it to be „the second foundress “of the monastery.
[Bearbeiten] Verehrung
Already the fact that its Gebeine under the southwest column of the Muenster in one was marble-badly bestattet, points on their admiration.
For the early 11. Century is also otherwise testified the admiration Irmengards. At this time a manufactured grave plate reports figurativy of their admiration as blessed one and/or holy one. A probably from the same time coming Bleitäfelchen is as follows marked: “Here Irmingard, the daughter of Ludwig, the raised king, rests over measures the blessed virgin. … seen at present the Äbtissin Tuta. Vormals had managed it (the monastery) many years. “ In same place also the exact death date is occupied: „To 16. July put it down the terrestrial body. “ This Täfelchen one found, as to 17. October 1631 their Gebeine from their original grave raised. Surprisingly one stated with the fact that the head was missing of the otherwise intact skeleton. This had been brought after the first opening around 1004/1010 by abbott Gerhard von Seeon, who had arranged this opening, after Seeon. There it was however to in 17. Century come to no public admiration, so that the procedure was guessed/advised both in Frauenwörth and in Seeon in oblivion.
When 1922 cardinal Faulhaber introduced the blessed speaking process, the grave was opened at the same time for the third time and the Kopfreliquie from Seeon after Frauenwörth was returned. At this time however the Zusammengehörigkeit could not be proven scientifically yet.
Only to 27. April 2003 the Gebeine and the head of the blessed Irmengard in a glass shrine in the monastic church Frauenwörth could be united in a solemn ceremony. A scientific investigation went ahead by means of DNA-Analyse over the affiliation of the Gebeine into Frauenwörth to the head Reliquie in the nearby Kloster Seeon. This investigation had furnished a positive result. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Srnec (talk • contribs) 00:33, 16 November 2007 (UTC)
