[edit]The listed ages of his children must by definition become regularly out of date. Can we have their birth years please or else I'll delete the ages-Sticks66 13:22, 15 May 2010 (UTC)
The dates of birth of his children to Julie Singleton (nee Martin) were Dawn Grace on 21 May 1998, Summer Alice on 31 March 2000 and Daisy May on 4 May 2006. All the dates you have listed are a year out. Julie and John separated on 13 April 2006. Sunday Joy — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sunday Joy (talk • contribs) 07:12, 3 February 2014 (UTC)
The advertising with the ALP began in 1987, not 1983 according to Gerald Stone's book. From memory that continued until 1996 at a Federal level. It also occurred in New South Wales, including the losing 1988 State Election. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.220.7.72 (talk) 23:59, 14 July 2015 (UTC)

Workers Party
[edit]Shouldn't the Workers Party be mentioned in the text, not just the infobox?--Jack Upland (talk) 08:28, 14 July 2016 (UTC)
- Yes indeed, this is an important episode in Australian political history. Rather surprised that it was overlooked… or avoided.2001:8003:3020:1C00:5FF:22AE:1791:2E12 (talk) 19:38, 7 October 2023 (UTC)
'Udsons With a Haitch
[edit]... is the correct slogan. The joke being that the elderly working class tradesman (actor) who presented the ad dropped his aitches from where they belonged (Hudson's) and placed them where they didn't (haitch, instead of aitch), a habit of the uneducated. This also sent a message of class solidarity, perhaps sardonically, to the demographic it was aimed at. 121.44.153.163 (talk) 08:39, 13 November 2016 (UTC)

Details of lying in order to avoid the Vietnam draft
[edit]Singleton published an ad in The Australian newspaper on March 30 2024 stating that he is a 'coward' who lied to avoid the draft. He states "I dodged Vietnam myself, lied my way out of it".
I suggest Singleton's self professed crime and cowardice be added to his page in order to have a full and complete picture of the person he is.
