"eat your words"

[edit]

Under the "Responses" category, it states "After Josh Wolf took a job as a general assignment reporter at the Palo Alto Daily Post in 2008, he had some choice words for critics who have questioned his claim of being a journalist. 'If the haters who said I wasn't a real journalist, are still lurking,' Wolf wrote on his blog, 'I hope you don't have too much indigestion after eating your words.'" That's all very pithy, but the charge against Wolf was that he was not a "real journalist" in 2005, when he made the videotape in question. It is nonsensical to claim that his being hired by a very minor newspaper (circulation 20,000) in 2008 somehow invalidates the charges against him of 3 years earlier. It's also worth noting that Wolf lasted at the Palo Alto Daily Post for just a year. Given all of this, I think it's absurd to leave Wolf's "in your face!" comment as the last word on the subject. Alternately, we could add, after his quote, details of his somewhat less impressive journalistic career trajectory since then. Bricology (talk) 08:47, 22 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
