Honours and personal life
[edit]I have just tried to edit the Honours and personal life section but my edit has been removed as C.Fred claims that the information that I provided is incorrect. I can assure you, my information is DEFINATELY correct.
The article states that Josie resides in Bethnal Green, East London. This is NOT the case; I live on the same Road as Ms Lawrence. I have lived here for 31 years and Ms Lawrence moved here sometime later (I think during the 1990's). She nicknames her home "Yoghurt Mansion" / "Yoghurt Villa" as she paid for the deposit for the house by doing a yoghurt commercial.
She does, in fact, live in South Hackney, which is in the London Borough of Hackney. Bethnal Green, however, is in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets.
These links verify this information:
I have also checked the link to the article in the Observer, and at no point is Bethnal Green - nor any other area within London - mentioned. Please check the link for youself;
Apologies accepted in advance. NufNufNicky (talk) 01:41, 25 January 2010 (UTC)
- Hi Nicky
- Thank you for pointing that out. I've checked the references and they certainly check out ok stating that she does indeed stay in Hackney. I've changed the article to reflect this.
- I can't speak for the admin that reverted your edits, but from what I can see I think they were maybe reverted because the reference wasn't cited properly. Certainly when I look back on the edit that you carried out, under the references section all it says is "16 Nicky Sullivan (neighbour), January 24th 2010" with no external link anywhere. Therefore that wouldn't be counted as a reference. I notice that even though you have been registered on Wikipedia since 2004 you have only made 7 edits, so if you need to know how to cite references properly then let me know and I'll help you if I can.
- I hope that explains things clearly for you and thanks again for pointing this out :) --5 albert square (talk) 02:42, 25 January 2010 (UTC)
- 5 albert square is correct. Because of the nature of the reference, I reverted it as original research. Because the content had stood so long, I assumed that it was correct per the source. (5 albert square has a valid point that I should have double-checked it.) On further review, Bethnal Green is not mentioned in the article, although it does indicate that she is from London at the top of the article.
- Thank you for bringing this matter to the talk page and providing independent sources to verify that she does live in Hackney. With those, the changes have been made; 5 albert square made them before I got back to the computer to look at this message. —C.Fred (talk) 03:08, 25 January 2010 (UTC)
Florence of Cradley
[edit]Assuming the spelling of "Cradley" is correct, we probably ought to mention this as her recurrent character on Friday/Saturday Night Live. This predates her involvement with Whose Line. The latter may have shot her to fame but F of C probably first brought her to the public's attention. Martin Packer (talk) 20:59, 28 August 2010 (UTC)

Past tense and Reluctant Persuaders
[edit]This article says "She played the role of Amanda in Reluctant Persuaders". Since "Reluctant Persuaders" is currently on Radio Four, I wonder whether the word "played" might be replaced by present tense. Vorbee (talk) 18:02, 18 October 2018 (UTC)
Edinburgh Festival 2000 (I think)
[edit]I saw JL in Edinburgh I think 2000, maybe 2001. I can't exactly remember, but I think she was one of Picasso's Women. Talk about confusing (talk) 08:32, 7 February 2019 (UTC)
