Special for it's crowd
[edit]"The Stadium is famous for its big crowds on match day". Isn't every stadium ? Are they partciularly big (the capacity figures suggest not) ? Is there something special about how the crowd swells on match day ? -Sticks66 09:19, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
Requested move
[edit]- The following is a closed discussion of the proposal. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the proposal was No consensus - no discussion in over 2 weeks, no compelling evidence provided that the stadium is consistently referred to as "OKI" rather than "Oki", google searches come up split fairly evenly. Parsecboy (talk) 00:46, 13 October 2008 (UTC)
Oki Jubilee Stadium → OKI Jubilee Stadium — Completing move request — Andrewa (talk) 14:22, 27 September 2008 (UTC)
From WP:RM:
Oki Jubilee Stadium → OKI Jubilee Stadium — (The correct title should read OKI as OKI Printing Solutions is written in capital letters as well as their logo. See www.oki.com) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mas0playa (talk • contribs)

- Weak oppose. I'm not convinced that the rules are correct on this, but Wikipedia:Manual of Style (trademarks) seems to indicate we should not follow the capitalisation of the trademark. The proposal at Wikipedia:official names might also be relevant. Andrewa (talk) 14:29, 27 September 2008 (UTC)

Consensus gained?
[edit]Not sure that consensus was gained, or sort for this move. The stadium is largely known as OKI Jubilee. I do believe there does need to be discussion on this matter.Londo06 18:36, 1 November 2008 (UTC)
- I have not seen a single source relating to the expiration of OKI's naming rights for the stadium. It is known they will no longer be back-of-jersey sponsor for the club (St George Illawarra). Article moved back to OKI Jubilee until user who changed the name and added the comment about naming rights can provide a source. 165.228.178.143 (talk) 00:34, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
Requested move
[edit]The issue of renaming stadium articles was previously discussed twice at Wikipedia:Australian Wikipedians' notice board. These discussions are now archived at Wikipedia:Australian Wikipedians' notice board/Archive 28#Stadium naming and Wikipedia:Australian Wikipedians' notice board/Archive 30#Stadium naming pt 2. Consensus to move this article to Jubilee Oval was reached during the second discussion. Therefore, a move now should be uncontroversial. --AussieLegend (talk) 13:08, 26 April 2009 (UTC)
- Article returned to Jubilee Oval. florrie 07:32, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
