Karl GegenbaurCarl Gegenbaur – His first name is generally spelled "Carl", not "Karl", in various databases, biographies, in his own publications, as well as the 1911 Encyclopædia Britannica entry this article has used as a source since its creation in 2004. (Was this article possibly erroneously titled "Karl" in the first place then?) Monster Iestyn (talk) 16:10, 24 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

support - Seems like the Wikipedia entry has spread the Anglicized form. Shyamal (talk) 04:43, 25 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
support—At least in 1877 he was in an English journal (The Zoologist) named as "Carl" (see my recent edit on Honorary Foreign Membership of Linnean Society). --Dick Bos (talk) 14:43, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
