Frodo Baggins Hindi Voice
[edit]Who gave the Hindi Voice dubbing role to Elijah Wood's role as Frodo Baggins from The Lord of the Rings film series? I've been in so much pain trying to do re-search of this artist, but yet, I couldn't find a single result.
I know it can't be Nachiket Dighe, nor possibly Vivek Oberoi, but who can it really be? --BlueMario1016talk 17:03, 9 June 2012 (UTC)
Indian dubbing artists to be found
[edit]This is a list of the posted roles done by the Indian dubbing artists that are yet to be re-searched on which certain confirmed artist has dubbed that role from foreign media. For most of the time, the dubbing credits and staff of the particular Indian-language dub aren't mentioned due to involving a huge budget on modifying credits, unless they are mentioned after the original credits, which is rare in some cases, with a few exceptions. Once the name of the artist for that role is found, it can be moved to the list of the named artists.

Wikitables for Indian dubbing artists
[edit]When it comes to adding in roles for which artists that they have dubbed for, whenever it's for a cartoon character, or for another role in a film, this is basically how this is all set up, when it comes to doing this.
The Wikitables are here to help guide those who want to participate into contributing these artists and help give the credit that should be mentioned upon. Note, this is for FOREIGN productions or when it comes to dubbing for another actor in the same Indian language, due to the original performer going through certain issues.
Television animation
[edit]Program title | Original voice | Character | Dub Language | Original Language | Number of Episodes | Original airdate | Dubbed airdate | Notes |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 |
- 1) The name of the program.
- 2) The original voice(s). Sometimes this Indian dubbing artist would dub for more then one character.
- 3) The character(s) that this artist voiced. Sometimes more then one character that this artist dubbed for, had multiple voice actors to voice those characters in the original version.
- 4) The language that this Indian artist dubbed into. (ex. Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, etc.) Sometimes one actor would reprise to dub the same role into another Indian language.
- 5) The language that this animated program was originally recorded in. (NOT counting anime.)
- 6) A number of episodes that this program originally aired. A number of episodes that were dubbed is also recommended.
- 7) The original airdate that the region of origin aired.
- 8) The airdate that India has aired in the dubbed language. This is very important, since many animated programs would be aired dubbed into an Indian language much later after the original airing in the original region. It will also help clear confusion.
- 9) Extra notes can be added, which could also be necessary.
Anime
[edit]Program title | Original Japanese voice | Character | Episodes | Dub Language | Original airdate | Dubbed airdate | Notes |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8 |
- 1) The name of the program.
- 2) The original Japanese voice(s). Sometimes this Indian dubbing artist would dub for more then one character. Also, if a particular Indian language dub is based on another previously made different language dub, then that name of the voice actor from that language dub would be added in to.
- 3) The character(s) that this artist voiced. Sometimes more then one character that this artist dubbed for, had multiple voice actors to voice those characters in the original Japanese version.
- 4) The language that this Indian artist dubbed into. (ex. Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, etc.)
- 5) A number of episodes that this program originally aired. A number of episodes that were dubbed is also recommended.
- 6) The original Japanese airdate.
- 7) The airdate that India has aired in the dubbed language. This is very important, since there is not much information about Indian debuts of animes currently, and many Animes would be aired dubbed into an Indian language much later after the original Japanese airing. It will also help clear confusion. For example, Pokémon was originally shown in Japan on April 1, 1997. The original Indian debut premiered on May 12, 2003 for Cartoon Network dubbed by Sound & Vision India. Exactly 6 years later after the original debut. Pakistan got the anime in 2004. But on May 19, 2014, a second Hindi dub was broadcasted on Hungama TV, by UTV Software Communications in-house.
- 8) Extra notes can be added, which could also be necessary.
Live Action Television
[edit]Program title | Actor/Actress | Character | Dub Language | Original Language | Episodes | Original airdate | Dub airdate | Notes |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 |
- 1) The name of the program.
- 2) The original actor or actress. Sometimes female Indian dubbing artists would dub for young male roles, which is how they get the "Actor/Actress" column, with male Indian dubbing artists only having "Actor" added.
- 3) The character that this actor/actress portrayed.
- 4) The language that this Indian artist dubbed into. (ex. Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, etc.) Sometimes one actor would reprise to dub the same role into another Indian language.
- 5) The language that this television series was originally recorded in.
- 6) A number of episodes that this program originally aired. A number of episodes that were dubbed is also recommended.
- 7) The original airdate that the region of origin aired.
- 8) The airdate that India has aired in the dubbed language. This is very important, since many foreign live action progrmas would be aired dubbed into an Indian language much later after the original airing in the original region. It will also help clear confusion. But however, if it's for another Indian TV series shot in the same language, the same date would be added in.
- 9) Extra notes can be added, which could also be necessary.

- 6) A number of episodes that this program originally aired. A number of episodes that were dubbed is also recommended.
- 7) The original year release of the film. Full dates of the original release, could be necessary.
- 8) The year that this film was released in the dubbed format. Very important, since that will help clear confusion. Maybe the full release date of the dubbed version can be added, if necessary. If it is actually for another Indian film shot in the same language, then the dub year would be the same year.
- 9) Extra notes can be added, which could also be necessary. It can be important, because sometimes more then one Indian-language dub for a foreign film is made. Plus an edition can be added in, such as for example, either a specific dub was released for a VCD/DVD release.
