[edit]Ted Bergmann's book The DuMont Television Network, shows a map of DuMont affiliates in 1955. It shows which cities were part of the DuMont Network during 1955. It also shows which stations were connected to the intercity coaxial cable at that time. Unfortunately, it only lists the city of the station, not the call signs. I've been unable to find the call signs for the following cities:
- Alabama:
Montgomery, Alabama - Arizona:
Yuma, Arizona (non-interconnected) - Arkansas:
Little Rock, Arkansas, Ft. Smith, Arkansas (non) - California: Bakersfield, California (may have been served by Tulare station),

WWOR/WJZB
[edit]Your table has these as two separate stations. In reality, it is one station. It started out as WWOR, and later changed its calls to WJZB.
- Fixed, thank you. Firsfron of Ronchester 01:31, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
Louisiana and Texas small-market stations
[edit]Excellent piece of work getting all those references corralled! DTN was a pioneer, good to see a reference work like this. On the Louisiana stations, the 54/55 Telecasting Yearbook confirms KNOE as the DuMont affiliate in Monroe http://www.davidgleason.com/Archive%20BC-YB/1954-1955%20TV/BC%20TV%20Annual%201954-55.pdf The Lake Charles affiliate was KTAG Channel 25, confirmed by the 55/56 edition: http://www.davidgleason.com/Archive%20BC-YB/1954-55%20TV/Telecasting%20YB%2055-56.pdf The Beaumont, TX affiliate was KBMT Channel 31 (the first incarnation of KBMT), per the 55/56 Telecasting Yearbook. The Texarkana, TX/AR affiliate was KCMC Channel 6 (later moved transmitter to Vivan, LA and became KTAL), per the 55/56 Telecasting Yearbook The Tyler, TX affiliate was KETX Channel 19 until they went dark, ref, 54/55 Telecasting Yearbook.Sparky4853397 (talk) 01:41, 15 August 2010 (UTC)
