Experimental

[edit]

Should this list include experimental aircraft such as the Horten Ho 229 ?

Tabletop (talk) 04:44, 29 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

For a list supposedly of WW2 German aircraft there are a LOT of types that were no longer around by the time WW2 started. There are also a considerable number of aircraft that the Germans captured and used for second line tasks that should technically be included but are not. (North American NAA 57 and Caudron C.440 for instance)
Perhaps this list should be named List of German military aircraft during the Third Reich? (not sure the by manufacturer is really required either).NiD.29 (talk) 04:48, 16 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Nazi Germany is the accepted name for Germany during this period. Third Reich as a synonym is mostly just used by bored historians to add drama. Mark Schierbecker (talk) 08:17, 16 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
