Highest mountains excluded from the list???

[edit]

The current version[1] of this article says,

"The highest of the Adirondack mountains are listed in the Adirondack High Peaks. Other mountains in the Adirondacks include:"

None of the highest peaks are in this list. The Catskills are also incomplete, excluding the highest peaks. The list here of the Appalachian Mountains appear to include all the mountains.

The mountains from the other "High Peaks" articles should be included in this list, and perhaps those other articles should be merged into this one. Sparkie82 (tc) 14:24, 18 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Yes and No
The other articles shouldn’t be merged into this one for the reasons given there
But, the lists here are incomplete without the peaks those articles list. It looks like someone has taken a short cut when compiling these lists, which has caused some confusion. The high peaks should be listed here, and they should be in alphabetical order, like the rest of them. Moonraker12 (talk) 05:35, 12 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Also, what about the Taconics, and the Hudson Highlands? I don’t know what the definition of a mountain is in these parts; in the UK it is presumed to be anything over 1000 ft, so they would certainly qualify. Should we have sections on them? Moonraker12 (talk) 05:39, 12 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
