Deletion?

[edit]

Seriously? His page was created like several times already. Mind you, His album has reached the number 1 spot on Amazon’s World Music charts and number 9 on the R&B charts and he is a music producer who has worked with Kat Deluna, Akon, Enrique Iglesias, the late Michael Jackson and Lady Gaga, etc. I don't see these artists' wiki page being deleted, even music producer such as RedOne who he has also worked with and was introduced by. Mind you, RedOne is also from Sweden and he is also from a Islamic country. Maher's youtube page has in total gained more than a million views, which is a lot in youtube! I think his page should obviously be saved.

I just want to know why this question raised. Is that because he is a Muslim? That's a shame. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 180.234.27.85 (talk) 13:45, 13 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Don't talk complete and utter rubbish. I nominated the page for deletion because he doesn't meet the criteria for inclusion, and couldn't give a damn what religion he is. Mo ainm~Talk 13:48, 13 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Came to Wikipedia for more information at Maher Zain

[edit]

I am sitting at home in Dubai and have just watched a Mahar Zain music video on the Egyptian music channel "M Hits". I am not a muslim but so impressed and quite moved by the track from the "Thank you Allah" album that I went straight to Wikipedia to find out more about this emerging singer/songwriter. Now that the content has now been referenced in a manner much better than many many other Wikipedia articles can the suggestion of deletion of this article now be removed? Maktaba (talk) 18:07, 24 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

why?

[edit]

Why this page have deleted many times , is maher zain nobody ? , or because he is a Palestinian Moslem man ! Where is neutral????

Badr my talk ! 11:49, 18 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah thats what it is, his article was deleted because he was a "Palestinian Moslem man !" Maybe we should have a jihad against Wikipedia for deleting this article, oh wait hang on a minute he has an article and we are even talking on the talk page of his article so don't be such a fool with stupid statements like you just made. Inclusion in Wiki Project Arab World?

[edit]

I am not an expert in the WikiProject thing, but, since the person in question, according to the article, was born in Tripoli, Lebanon so has Arabic origins. He has been known to sing some songs in Arabic. And also released songs which are about the political situation in the Arab World ( "Palestine will be free" etc. ). Shouldn't this article be included in WikiProject: Arab World? Thanks. Intermediate-Hacker (talk) 05:25, 15 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You are right. Arab World, Islam and Lebanon wiki projects now added werldwayd (talk) 19:12, 26 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
