What is the source that Manish is derived from the Sanskrit work "Manishi"? In all the Sanskrit dictionaries that I consulted, NONE listed the word "manishi" or "manish" so the author's assertion (without an authoritative source) is VERY suspect.
The other meanings ascribed from the Hindi and Urdu translations may have more basis in fact since they can be substantiated in dictionaries. Satshanti (talk) 00:19, 6 April 2008 (UTC)

manish is made with two words "man" and "ish".in hindi language "man" means "mind" and "ish" means "GOD" and in separation between "GOD" remains.
