I don't think the term 'sexuality activist' is appropriate for this woman. Anyone?

Why on earth not? Shmuel (talk) 06:21, 22 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Bisexuality

[edit]

If Mohanraj is bisexual (and I have no clue if she is or not), per WP:BLP, the article should state something about it, and such a statement should be reliably sourced. -- SatyrTN (talk / contribs) 07:56, 17 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

She appears to describe herself as bisexual in the journal on her personal website ("I'll briefly note that as a bisexual, I worry a lot less about what the women I'm dating think of my body than I do about the men") - is that a good enough source, though? Gonzonoir (talk)
If you'd bothered to read the edit history for the edit just before yours, SatyrTN, you'd have noticed that this had been stated explicitly earlier, and that the reliable source is still there: the Daily Northwestern article. As said there, I took out the explicit statement because it seemed intrusive and unnecessary as written, while leaving the source and the category. If you felt both were necessary, the proper response would have been to put the text back in the article, not to remove the category. (In short, if you have no idea if she is or not, you really haven't been paying attention, and you have no business editing this article at all.) Shmuel (talk) 05:47, 4 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Hm. That's an awfully snarky reply. In fact, I *do* have business editing this article, since Wikipedia is an encyclopedia that *anyone* can edit. My 25,000 edits not-withstanding, I routinely review articles that have been placed in LGBT categories to a) make sure they are properly sourced (by WP:BLP policy) to make sure it's not just someone vandalizing articles randomly. I am grateful you added the information you did, but perhaps you could focus on making the encyclopedia better, rather than cutting down other editors. Many thanks! -- SatyrTN (talk / contribs) 21:28, 20 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Full disclosure

[edit]

I've added two items to this article, both properly cited. In the interest of full disclosure, I've known the subject for decades, and both items were added after a request of hers on Facebook. WP:BPL strictures were followed, since a third party was also involved. --Orange Mike | Talk 21:25, 5 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
