Résumé, Chronology
[edit]None of the items in the theatre section are dated, nor are some of the items in the other sections; without dating it is not clear that the lists are in the right order.--Felix Folio Secundus (talk) 19:15, 17 December 2009 (UTC)

DJ?
[edit]Bluedot_Festival announces 2019 lineup with, right at the bottom Maxine Peake DJ Set. I see no reference to her DJing here. Anyone know if this is a new thing for her, or an omission? https://www.discoverthebluedot.com/gfx/lineups_4.png?v=3 Nickpheas (talk) 10:49, 22 January 2019 (UTC)

- It was a caching issue. I've fixed it with a null edit. --LukeSurl t c 17:01, 20 July 2019 (UTC)
Political views
[edit]Clearly Peake's political views are relevant for inclusion in her bio, but the section looks WP:UNDUE to me. Is it really necessary to have a year on year account of what she said/did re: Jeremy Corbyn? Is it not sufficient to say that she endorsed his leadership bid and supported him throughout his tenure as LOTO? Also, is it necessary to include John McDonnell's comments re: Rebecca Long-Bailey? Surely they'd be better in RLB's article as opposed to Peake's bio. Thoughts? --DSQ (talk) 22:25, 29 June 2020 (UTC)
- I don’t see the need to trim the political views section to condense her support for Corbyn. I only counted 6 sentences related to Corbyn which I don’t think is excessive and it also seems an important part of Peake’s life. They could be used to create a subsection called “support for Corbyn”. McDonnell was commenting both on Peake’s statement and on Long-Bailey. The part about him standing in solidarity with Long-Bailey could be removed but his statement that criticism of Israel is not antisemitism was specifically about Peake and is a significant defence of Peake’s initial view. - Fair enough Burrobert. It looks like overkill to me and makes her look like a Corbyn fangirl, but I'll defer to your more experienced judgement. "unwatches article" :) --DSQ (talk) 08:24, 30 June 2020 (UTC)
- I have trimmed the part about McDonnell standing in solidarity with Long-Bailey as you suggested and added some structure to the political views section. Perhaps over time the importance of her support for Corbyn will fade as she gets involved in other actions. However, at the moment I think it still has sufficient significance in her life to cover in the level of detail we have given to it. Burrobert (talk) 09:02, 30 June 2020 (UTC)
- In short, she's a moonbat. 2A0A:EF40:2EC:E201:C8A0:C62A:CBAF:5697 (talk) 21:10, 12 November 2024 (UTC)
