Feingold/Finegold

The official website of Eurovision and ESCToday have started to call her "Mei Finegold"... what should we do now? Do you think that this article should be named again "Mei Finegold"? Gianluca91 (talk) 16:04, 19 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

They also spelled it both ways in the past anyway, I would wait until they get her a profile page to decide; A simple google search "Mei Feingold" 249,000 results vs "Mei Finegold" 72,000 results; also the Eurovision website is totally messed up anyway

I would prefer we wait until she gets a profile page http://www.eurovision.tv/page/history/year/participant-profile/?song=XXXXX such as Moran Mazor from last year Also, they don't have her officially listed on their Participants page yet either; still "To be announced".

Her Hebrew name is "פיינגולד" which would translate to Feingold not Finegold, just like the American biochemist David Sidney Feingold (although the spelling looks a little strange). Generally "פיין" is "Fain"/"Fein" like Benjamin Fain. --CyberXRef^☎ 21:24, 19 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

She will be known as Mei Finegold internationally due to her participation in the Eurovision Song Contest. The article was actually titled Mei Finegold up until January when someone moved it to Feingold. Pickette (talk) 19:50, 9 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Yup, looks like someone moved the article without even attempting to get a consensus just over two months ago. The correct translation would be "Feingold", but indeed, she will be known as "Finegold" due to the Eurovision. --CyberXRef^☎ 00:04, 10 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Should this page be moved then? I'd do it but I'm unsure how to integrate the "Feingold" spelling in the article. I mean I think it should be mentioned somewhere that her name is also spelt "Feingold". Pickette (talk) 20:12, 10 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
