Fusion this article with Michael_Jackson_(poet)

[edit]

How about uniting this article with Michael_Jackson_(poet), since, you know, they are basically THE SAME GUY! :-D —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jantangring (talkcontribs) 18:49, 17 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Three years later, I performed the requested merge the quick and bold way, by making Michael Jackson (poet) a redirect to Michael Jackson (anthropologist) without copying any content. The sentences were the same in both articles anyway, the only difference was the anthropologist being more complete, and both bibliographies being formatted and sorted differently. --YMS (talk) 16:49, 22 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Career history

[edit]

Do we know Jackson left a seemingly comfy tenured position at Indiana and now is a Visiting Professor at Harvard? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 107.15.37.241 (talk) 02:12, 12 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

His middle name

Is it known what the "D." stands for? --94.220.219.37 (talk) 17:55, 12 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Dr Jackson

[edit]

My name is Dr. Robin Hill. Dr. Jackson taught me at Massey university in the early 1980s and had a huge influence on me. We actually lived close around the Hospital area. However rather than anthropology I chose to major in psychology. I have a PhD in organisational psychology and have a 30+ years academic career teaching mainly Organisational Behaviour and Research Methods. I am 64 years old and hence approaching retirement. I think about 7 years away. I thought today what would I do in retirement? I would read all those classic books on my book shelf such as Claude Levi Strauss- Structural Anthropology. Started reading it then thought "Dr. Jackson might suggest some better things to read. If this link could put me in contact with him I would be very appreciative. 2407:7000:9301:8152:F5E5:CE2E:63AB:A2CE (talk) 07:20, 23 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
