Ministry of Public Security (North Korea) → Ministry of Social Security (North Korea) – News coming from North Korea has indicated that the name change is made as the Ministry of Social Security. Sources documented at talk page. Ominae (talk) 15:46, 22 July 2020 (UTC)
I'm documenting examples where I came across it here and here that talk about the recent change. Here's another, but most of the article is locked and it also talks about the name change.

Ministry of Social Security (North Korea) → Ministry of Public Security (North Korea) – This is the official translation of the ministry name that was provided by North Korea. While it is true that 사회안전성 can be translated as the Ministry of Social Security as was used by various news sites reporting on North Korea, North Korea had been using “Public Security” as the official translation. You can check this by searching “Ministry of Public Security” on KCNAWatch.org (which is a site that archives/mirrors articles from NK state media). Some instances where North Korea has referred to the Ministry of Public Security recently:
"Present at the ceremony were KPA Vice Marshal Pak Jong Chon, who is chief of the KPA General Staff, commanding officers of the services and corps levels units of the KPA, director of the Defence Department of the KPA, minister of State Security, minister of Public Security, chief of the Guard Command, director of the Guard Department, chief of the Guard Section, director of the Guard Department of the State Affairs Commission and other leading commanding officers of the armed forces at all levels and members of the executive committee of the KPA Committee of the WPK." - KCNA, 27 July 2020
"The United Kingdom, a puppet of the United States, committed a provocation of designating our Ministry of State Security and Ministry of Public Security as prime targets of sanctions through what is called "UK's first autonomous human rights sanction regime" issued on July 6, all contents of which are based on fabrications provided by the "defector" scum." - DPRK Foreign Ministry, 11 July 2020
"Floral baskets in the names of institutions, enterprises and units of the KPA and the PSF were laid at the statues of the great leaders and mosaics of their smiling images in different parts of Pyongyang including Kim Il Sung University, Kim Il Sung Military University, the Ministry of the People's Armed Forces, the Ministry of Public Security and the Mansudae Art Studio." - KCNA, 27 July 2020--Migs005 (talk) 10:26, 24 August 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose. Sources given all appear to be primary sources and of little relevance. Rationale ignores article naming policy completely. See wp:official names for a possibly more approachable explanation of the policy. Andrewa (talk) 09:53, 8 September 2020 (UTC)
