Monzo vs Focus FS Ltd

[edit]

My understanding is that the latter is the actual company name and the former is the company's trading name. We should probably standardise on the former for the article.

Right now the company infobox uses the legal company name and a lot (but not all) of the references also use the same legal name. To add to the confusion some of my references are attributed to "Mondo" which is obviously incorrect now!

A quick update on this: Tom Blomfield referred to Focus FS Ltd as the company's "old name" in a talk I was at a few days ago because they had to "choose a name quickly" when it was incorporated. I'd suggest we refer to the company as Monzo throughout the article. The "Name change" section includes info on where "Focus FS Ltd" comes from. The legal name remains Focus FS Ltd and this is clearly stated on the website "Monzo is the trading name of Focus FS Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (No. 09446231)" Cordyceps-Zombie (talk) 12:18, 14 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

09446231 is MONZO BANK LIMITED (and has been for a while now), so the legal name Focus FS Ltd seems less and less relevant. Adam Williams (talk) 16:05, 24 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

I work for Monzo and would like to request an edit to this article.

The latest edit added this line: Blomfield has indicated that community centres will be created around the country.

This isn't currently planned (and it lacks a source). So it needs removing.

Thanks. Cookywook (talk) 17:12, 28 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

– Monzo is by far the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC, with more pageviews than all other contenders by two orders of magnitude. I tried it with a csd-g6 but got bounced. - hahnchen 18:52, 24 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please update the logo to our latest version, this can be found in our Press kit at monzo.com/press. We requested the change before in December but didn't use an edit request so I guess it got missed. Thanks! Cookywook (talk) 09:06, 3 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
