Peer Review

[edit]

This article could be introduced more properly. Also, the information is disorganized. The sources are properly cited. The sentences are choppy and could use some more length to them. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kstrong2 (talkcontribs) 02:24, 3 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Reverted unexplained move

[edit]

I have reverted an unexplained move of this article from Murder of Maceo Snipes to the victim's name, Maceo Snipes. Previous this article was moved to the title Murder of Macio Snipes with the comment that the "Primary topic of article revolves around murder" before the spelling of the victim's name was corrected with a second move. A review of this page's history indicates that a move to the victim's name would be a potentially controversial move because the page has previously been moved, twice, to be named as a murder of ... article, with no objections, and the victim's correct name was also a redirect to the Murder of Maceo Snipes. Additionally, when guidelines WP:NCRIME, WP:BIO1E and WP:VICTIM are all read together, the general advice is that a victim of a crime should not have their own article, only the notable crime should. Part of the reason for this is that for most victims there are insufficient biographical sources to demonstrate basic notability. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 13:08, 2 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
