Where is this open source firmware?

[edit]

I think a citation is lacking for this assertion "Nest Labs also provides a special firmware image which will unlock the system so that it will accept unsigned firmware images" — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.131.222.227 (talk) 02:28, 15 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move 7 February 2018

[edit]

Nest Labs has announced that they will be merging into Google's hardware unit, the article name should be updated as such. Daylen (talk) 20:35, 7 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The branding change just went into effect (at Google I/O 2019) so we probably should move the article now.Anton.bersh (talk) 12:45, 10 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Done. Some parts of the article probably also need to be reworked and adjusted to more closely reflect this change. Retroity (talk) 14:47, 10 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. I'll start working on that.Anton.bersh (talk) 15:10, 10 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Edit requests

[edit]

Since I work for Google Nest, I have clear WP:COI, so I do not want to make any non-trivial edit on this article. Hence, I am just pointing out the following issues:

  • Google Nest is no longer a separate entity and hence not a subsidiary, but probably a division
  • Google Nest uses the new G logo. (see this)
