Phantasy Star IV: Rika's origins[edit]

It is stated: "A thousand years later, Seed, a sentient supercomputer, uses the long-lost information about the Neifirst experiment to create a much improved creature, Fal (Rika in the American version)." however...

...Phantasy Star team explained, one year later after producing PSIV, how Seed used the information about newmans (and it didn't come from Neifirst). Actually Gene (another super computer from a bio-dome known as "Silver Dome") recollected, after Nei2nd died, information about her (her fragmented cells, fragmented memories and fragmented information), creating +/-993* years latter Nei3rd. Then, at the end of "Phantasy Star: Sealed Memories (Drama CD), Wren and Demi sent Nei3rd to Seed (the bio-dome near Zema) where she stayed with Seed (the supercomputer) who used Nei3rd information (seed had an easier job than Gene) to create Fal (Rika) in 2283 AW. It is also told that until Nei3rd (inclusive), newmans lifespan were about 3 or 4 years. Rika doesn't suffer from that problem since she is the final version of the NM Project.

(*) Not officially stated. Nei3rd said 3 years before 1281AW she was found near Aiedo, so she must also had the same age of Nei2nd when she was found by Rolf. According to that she was born in 1278AW (or ending 1277AW depending on months) and since it is very probable that Gene recollected her information short after the great collapse (AW 1285) it makes about 993 years. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Newsblade (talkcontribs) 17:52, 6 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

PSO[edit]

"Numans — now renamed newmans — are a playable race in the Phantasy Star Online games". That's false. Newmans were renamed 'numans' in Phantasy Star IV. We can see that on the early US translation and on all japanese original scripts. Newsblade (talk) 17:58, 6 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"Officially, no plot continuity exists between the "main" Phantasy Star series and the Online games, so it is safe to presume that they are not Fal's descendants."

Citiation needed and I don't think it's safe to presume that. Newsblade (talk) 17:58, 6 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

PSU Newmans[edit]

Why is there a mention of Karen Erra? She is hardly the only newman in story mode (Mirei, Maya Shdiow, Hiro Vol, the other CoG members, etc. are all newmen)? This seems really out of place. I will revert it unless someone objects. Cheers. RobLinwood 21:21, 5 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I changed the text regarding Newman aging. As revealed by Purol Sieju in chapter 11 of PSU, Newmans do mature faster than Humans. At what pace this maturation develops is not known. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.48.86.87 (talk) 02:59, 10 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
