This page was proposed for deletion by Dr-james-russell (talk · contribs) on 19 August 2024 with the comment: Notability. The majority of the articles do not refer to him but rather an organization he is a member of. His Linked In and other Linked In posts are cited as sources when they are not. Simply dancing at a rally does not make you notable. It was contested by Bsoyka (talk · contribs) on 2024-08-19 with the comment: "Simply dancing at a rally" does make you notable if enough reliable sources cover it. Overall: Article is new enough, well sourced, hook is interesting and QPQ is completed. I don't see anything that would hold this back from DYK, so I approve. TheBritinator (talk) 16:22, 14 August 2024 (UTC)
- While I personally don't see it actually going anywhere, I'm noting that there is now an AfD discussion regarding this article. Probably need to hold on promoting until this runs its course. Bsoyka (t • c • g) 23:46, 19 August 2024 (UTC)
- And I'm noting that the AfD was withdrawn, so this should now be ready to roll per TheBritinator's review. (I have not checked it myself.)--Launchballer 19:30, 20 August 2024 (UTC)
COI tag
[edit]@Dr-james-russell: Any particular reason you added the {{COI}}
tag to this article? As the only major contributor to the article, I will very clearly state here that I do not have a conflict of interest concerning Parker Short. I'll remove the tag if you don't have a more specific concern. Bsoyka (t • c • g) 23:25, 19 August 2024 (UTC)
- Yes, the user Hshsjabahwush d was created for the sole purpose of editing this article in favor of its subject. If you look at the users contributions you will see this is the only page that they have contributed to. The language that has been added by the user is clearly biased and shows that they have a connection.Dr-james-russell (talk) 23:31, 19 August 2024 (UTC)
- @Dr-james-russell: And just about every edit by that user has since been reverted. Nor is that user "a major contributor" from what I can see. If that's the only user you have a concern with, I'll be removing the tag. Now, I wonder how the same argument applies to you. Your account seems to have been created almost exclusively for the purpose of arguing against this article in various ways. Bsoyka (t • c • g) 23:34, 19 August 2024 (UTC)
- Lol, are you serious right now. I am just a new user to Wikipedia. There is no need for the personal attacks when you have no evidence. I get that you are upset that I nominated your article for deletion but attacking me without a single shred of evidence is not okay. Dr-james-russell (talk) 23:36, 19 August 2024 (UTC)
- I respectfully ask that you take a step back. You are clearly biased as the author of this article and I think that we should let the community put their input in. Dr-james-russell (talk) 23:38, 19 August 2024 (UTC)
- I did not make any personal attacks or any baseless claims. 14 of your 15 contributions (from your account created not two hours ago) are related to Short. Since you insist we go through AfD though, by all means let's have it run its course. I will be removing the
{{COI}}
tag though as there doesn't seem to be an actual reason for it. Bsoyka (t • c • g) 23:42, 19 August 2024 (UTC)- You implied I was acting in bad faith with no evidence. Just because I have started with one page on Wikipedia. You make these unfounded baseless accusations as I sit here trying to improve your article to add more relevant sourcing so maybe I can withdraw my nomination. I am trying to help you while you make assumptions that are not supported in fact. Dr-james-russell (talk) 23:47, 19 August 2024 (UTC)
- Not that I owe you an explanation but the difference between me and that other account is that I have been a member for 2 hours. They have been a member for months and only edited one page. Big difference. Dr-james-russell (talk) 23:50, 19 August 2024 (UTC)
- @Dr-james-russell: I said nothing about bad faith, just that your account's single purpose appeared to be arguing against this article. And you are incorrect; the other account was also created just before editing the Short article; it has not existed for months but rather was created on August 5th. Finally, I advise you to read WP:BEFORE; if you think better sourcing can be added to an article, that should generally be done before nominating for deletion. Bsoyka (t • c • g) 23:52, 19 August 2024 (UTC)
- Please at this point just leave me alone. I am asking you nicely. I am fixing your very badly written article that was not well sourced. I do no longer wish to engage with you. Dr-james-russell (talk) 23:58, 19 August 2024 (UTC)

- @Dr-james-russell: As you're new to Wikipedia, I encourage you to read around our policies and guidelines and some other example articles before deciding what a
badly written article that was not well sourced
is. This isn't it, and I really don't appreciate your continued attacks stating that it is. And I won't step away from an article I put significant work into just because you want me to. Bsoyka (t • c • g) 00:08, 20 August 2024 (UTC)- I don't care about what makes you happy. I have respectfully asked you to leave me alone. At this point, your failure to do so is harassment. 2024 DNC
[edit]Sorry, I'm a very bad wiki editor, although I've been an editor for a couple decades now, I think. But Mr Parker is becoming of some notoriety due to confronting Charlie Kirk on the floor of the DNC in Chicago.

Probably more interesting than him dancing, and perhaps likely to get him out of "low importance." Shava23 (talk) 01:48, 20 August 2024 (UTC)
