Picture

[edit]

is that picture some sort of joke? --T*85 (talk) 03:01, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree it is not very clear. Please feel free to take a better one yourself and upload it. Jameboy (talk) 23:28, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Height Data

[edit]

At present, Paul McShane's height is uncited. I propose citing his height from Premier League (1.83m) and switching it to metres first for the following reasons:

  • It would then be consistent with the usage of Premier League.
  • It would then be consistent with usage in the Irish Republic. (Paul McShane is from Kilpedder in County Wicklow and plays for the Irish national team.)

Are there any comments or concerns? Michael Glass (talk) 01:29, 12 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

There is no need now, I've cited the English football bible which is the main reliable official source for player data. Speccy4Eyes (talk) 20:00, 12 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Ref titles

[edit]

I am writing to this talk page re some titles of the references on this page.

Take a look at the following websites and see what are the titles according to the top of the page:-

Ref 20: url=http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/24599744 Ref 23: url=http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/24633791 Ref 28: url=http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/33744063 Ref 29: url=http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/35566559

The ones which were originally there did not match the title on the page which I have seen in other articles.

Quite often the title of an article changes as it gets updated. Also the BBC often use a different title when the article is referenced from another page, such as the local pages. Depends were the user adding the link was looking at it from. Keith D (talk) 15:00, 2 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Keith D Ok, understood. Thanks for the explanation. 86.152.141.191 (talk) 17:08, 2 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Birthplace

[edit]

I have noticed some irregularity about his birthplace from a few sources - this one says Kilpedder, the first reference says Wicklow and Soccerbase says Alexandria which seems rather confusing to some people. Someone should clarify to see which one is officially correct. Iggy (talk) 18:39, 21 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
