Variety of English[edit]

This page uses both UK and American spellings. Apparently I was informed that this is important to worry about. Perhaps someone should apply a consistent spelling scheme? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.39.191.172 (talk) 14:44, 26 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

New developments[edit]

Pls look at the german article + discussion for new developments on that case.--92.227.129.58 (talk) 16:46, 25 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Wonder when CSI will pick up on this. XD 84.142.205.10 (talk) 10:02, 26 March 2009 (UTC) - Aired on Oct 14th, 2009. Zeev.tarantov (talk) 08:27, 18 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

There is some conflict in sources on where the burned asylum seeker's DNA was found: on the body[1] vs on an asylum application[2]. The article currently quotes the former. 88.112.62.225 (talk) 11:44, 29 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Serial Killer?[edit]

Does the Phantom belong in the unidentified serial killer/female serial killer categories if the serial killer doesn't really exist? Paris1127 (talk) 22:07, 6 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

New Fictional Appearence - Silent Witness[edit]

Aside from the CSI:NYC episode, the British crime series Silent Witness is making use of this under the title "Death Has No Dominion". I've just watched the first episode and it looks like they might be going to have a real killer at the end of the second episode.Graham1973 (talk) 01:30, 26 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Just watched the second part of "Death Has No Dominion", thankfully they didn't go the real killer route.Graham1973 (talk) 10:15, 2 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please, somebody check that reference link![edit]

The reference link "Yeoman, Fran (2009-03-27). "The Phantom of Heilbronn, the tainted DNA and an eight-year goose chase". The Times. Retrieved 2009-03-28." is quite funny. After clicking about 8 times that I agree to visit a secure site: nothing besides today's front page. Seems nothing is for free there anymore. - Was in the mood to kill it, but rather put it up for others to check. - Don't be sad, I'm about to add another one that works. ;-) -- CaffeineCyclist (talk) 03:39, 15 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for discovering this; it was a long time ago, I don't even remember adding this ref. Apparently The Times has decided to make itself irrelevant by going behind a subscription wall - nothing we can do about that. If you could find an alternative link, that would be great! Yes, found and and added some more. -- CaffeineCyclist (talk) 09:44, 15 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
