Eurasian vs. Euro-Asian
[edit]Unlike the Pontic-Caspian steppe article (to which Eurasian steppe redirects then directed), the Euro-Asian Steppe article has no clear map. Is the Pontic-Caspian steppe a sub-region of the larger Euro-Asian steppe? Why does Eurasian steppe re-direct to Pontic-Caspian rather than to Euro-Asian? Athænara ✉ 13:18, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
- I withdraw the question—someone has been messing about with article names and redirects, and this article (at the moment) has the map. — Athænara ✉ 03:23, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
Pontic vs. Pontic-Caspian
[edit]On a similar note, should Pontic steppes redirect here, or is that a subregion of the Pontic-Caspian steppe? I'll leave it to those more knowledgeable and leave the Pontic steppes page alone for now. Whitejay251 17:29, 28 March 2007 (UTC)

Should "Proto-Indo-Europeans" be included under "Historical peoples and nations"?
[edit]I'm not sure if it should. Please let me know if you think so.--Thylacine24 (talk) 02:58, 16 August 2019 (UTC)
- Identification of proto-Indo-European peoples depends on correlating archaeological cultures with linguistically-reconstructed hypothetical languages. Some interesting conclusions can be arrived at using this method, but it's not the same as what "historically-attested" usually means (being mentioned in ancient inscriptions, etc).
