Malware?
[edit]Producthunt looks like malware to me. It installed itself (as a Chrome extension perhaps) without my consent, and I cannot delete it. They say I can delete my account, but I have to give them permission to my Google account first. DaveCW (talk) 12:54, 6 December 2018 (UTC)

Product Hunt Mafia
[edit]Multiple members of the Product Hunt team have gone on to start venture capital funds. In August 2017, Product Hunt's founder and CEO Ryan Hoover announced a $3M Angel Fund called The Weekend Fund.[1] In March 2018, Product Hunt's first employee Erik Torenberg announced Village Global, a $100M venture fund backed by Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg, Amazon's Jeff Bezos, Microsoft's Bill Gates, Google's Eric Schmidt, LinkedIn's Reid Hoffman, and others.[2] In April 2018, Product Hunt's marketing lead Niv Dror announced Shrug Capital, a $3M venture fund that focuses on consumer investments.[3] In April 2019, Product Hunt's editorial lead Nick Abouzeid joined Shrug Capital as a Partner, the fourth Product Hunt employee to join a venture capital fund.[4]
I've moved the above section to the talk page for further inspection. Promotional, it just doesn't seem to "belong." DavidWestT (talk) 14:13, 26 May 2019 (UTC)
