ALT1: ... that the father and grandparents of Rōki Sasaki (pictured) died in the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami?- ALT2: ... that Rōki Sasaki (pictured) set a record by striking out 13 consecutive batters during his April 10 perfect game?

- Comment: I decided to create Rōki Sasaki's perfect game and add it for a two-fer, so scratching off ALT1. WP:BASEBALL consensus has been that perfect games are so rare and covered that they meet WP:NEVENT.
5x expanded by Muboshgu (talk). Self-nominated at 21:24, 10 April 2022 (UTC).
- The biography is a new enough and large enough expansion, and the perfect game page is new enough and long enough. A QPQ is present, but Muboshgu, you do need to supply a second QPQ for the additional article. Both articles have no textual problems. The hook is cited in the biographical article and checks out to source. Image is freely licensed and acceptable for use. Both pages will be ready to go when a second QPQ is supplied. - @Sammi Brie: almost forgot that a second article requires a second QPQ. I'll reuse that other QPQ elsewhere, here's a two article hook in its place. – Muboshgu (talk) 15:47, 22 April 2022 (UTC)
- @Sammi Brie:. Looks like this DYK nomination is good to go, and is just waiting for the final "DYK tick" of approval? Cielquiparle (talk) 11:27, 5 May 2022 (UTC)

- Sammi Brie, this still needs the checkmark. – Muboshgu (talk) 19:06, 10 May 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks, I must have missed the first ping. Double QPQ checks out. Sammi Brie (she/her • t • c) 19:11, 10 May 2022 (UTC)
