Merger of R36 and R36WF

[edit]

I know the two car types differ cosmetically, and that this discussion was had before, but based on a bunch of agenda documents uploaded by User:Kew Gardens 613, it is heavily implied that the R36 and "R36WF" orders were all ordered under R36. This is an example [1]. Thus, I propose the merger of the R36 and R36WF pages. Can't say the same for the R33 and R33WF pages, as the MTA classfies the R33WF as a different type ("R33S"). Maybe I'm wrong, but yeah. Mtattrain (talk) 18:27, 21 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

> Pinging @Kew Gardens 613:, who has pictures of MTA board materials indicating "R36WFs" are actually just R36s and "R33WFs" are actually R33S's.. Mtattrain (talk) 16:39, 10 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I'm in support of this merge. See Talk:R36 (New York City Subway car) for mote details. Davidng913 (talk) 23:03, 3 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support per above, but let's also ping DanTD, who opposed the previous merge request. epicgenius (talk) 16:59, 4 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose -- As I've mentioned in previous statements, there were World's Fair-specific versions of the R33 and R36, just as there were World's Fair-specific Lo-V trains for the 1939 World's Fair. I believe this link proves my case. I'm not sure what the story is behind them being classified as "R33S" and "R36S," by the MTA. To me it seems like a post World's Fair rename. ---------User:DanTD (talk) 18:21, 4 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
