Seeing no discussion on this talk page since it was archived in March 2024, and needing to know if this topic was already discussed, I searched for the archive page and found it here. If the question was previously discussed, I didn’t find it in the archive. My question regards the use of the term filipino used in the article’s lead. Is that actually the proper term? Last time I visited the island nation many years ago, only men referred to themselves with the masculine form of the term, filipino. Women, on the other hand, used the feminine form, filipina. Is there some Wikipedia guidance or consensus that affirms using the masculine form even for women? (Not intending any sexism, here.
