Sentences or not

[edit]

Even though this is the last game in the series for the PS3, please explain why it can't be mentioned in the article? It should. The Ratchet: Deadlocked article mentions about being the last in the main series for the PS3. Mr.Shadow514 (talk) 03:22, 16 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

It is just unnecessary. Think of the many hundreds of video game series that saw releases on different generations of consoles. Castlevania, Super Mario, The Legend of Zelda, God of War, Pokémon, the list goes on. Mentioning that a particular game is the last released on a specific system is not noteworthy. soetermans. ↑↑↓↓←→←→ B A TALK 04:43, 16 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Where did it say, "It's not noteworthy"? Mr.Shadow514 (talk) 04:51, 16 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Where does it say it is? soetermans. ↑↑↓↓←→←→ B A TALK 08:28, 16 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
There's no rule saying you cannot add "It was the last game for any specific platform". But not, you just don't care. Mr.Shadow514 (talk) 13:45, 16 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I do care, that's why I am saying it is unnecessary and adding it is detrimental to the article. soetermans. ↑↑↓↓←→←→ B A TALK 16:00, 16 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Explain to me how is it determinal to the article? The whole reason. And where is there a guideline saying about that fact? Mr.Shadow514 (talk) 16:53, 16 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I've stated several times that it is unnecessary, because games are released for different generations of consoles all the time. It is not a unique or special thing about this game or any other for that matter. That is the whole reason. I've listed several examples. Just from the top op my head, right now: Smash Bros., Metal Gear, Dishonored, BioShock, Doom, Final Fantasy, Street Fighter, Prince of Persia. Really, it's been four decades of some of these franchises! I see you're still fairly new here, but the WP:BURDEN is on you. I do not have to show it isn't necessary, you have to show it is. If you like to help edit video game articles, there's an active WikiProject Video Games and guideline on video game articles. If you like to hear another opinion, you can leave a message at the talk page and point here. But really, it is just something that isn't mentioned. soetermans. ↑↑↓↓←→←→ B A TALK 17:57, 16 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
