  • ... that effigies of Soedjono Hoemardani were burnt by student protesters during the Malari incident? Source: Malley, Michael (1989). "Soedjono Hoemardani and Indonesian-Japanese Relations 1966-1974". Indonesia (48)., p61: "The unpopularity of [Soedjono Hoemardani's] position was reflected in the burning of his effigy and that of Japanese Prime Minister Tanaka Kakuei on several occasions by university students in Jakarta and Bandung"

  • @Juxlos: Article long enough, new enough, no copyvio detected, generally within policy regarding neutrality and referencing. QPQ is done. Regarding the hook, the source does not specify that the burning happened during the Malari incident (in fact it appears before the passage about 15 January). Is there another source? Also, suggest adding some relatable context to the hook (e.g. who Soedjono is, or why the protest happened) because as of now it only contains names that people haven't heard before. I understand this doesn't cover "why", but I opted to take it out in the interest of brevity and to generate curiosity. Juxlos (talk) 14:26, 30 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
