AXN (German TV channel)Sony AXN – According to YouTube St3095 (talk) 09:20, 25 October 2019 (UTC) Relisting. comrade waddie96 ★ (talk) 09:39, 1 November 2019 (UTC) Relisting. Wug·a·po·des 01:21, 9 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Comment: Please use a more reliable source than a single YouTube video. O.N.R. (talk) 16:54, 26 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Comment: Official website has the Sony AXN logo and the official Facebook page has the logo as well, though it's name is "AXN Deutschland". --Gonnym (talk) 11:01, 1 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
The German page has a reference to the name change, effective 17 October. It has 3 unreviewed edits and still bears the old name, however. Jmar67 (talk) 12:27, 1 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose: Not written like that in the headlines of the sources that are cited in the article, and also there is no "Sony" in the logo shown at the top of the article. —BarrelProof (talk) 05:21, 7 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support The German website is now sonyaxn.de and shows the new logo. A referenced source (DWDL.de) announces the name change in October 2019. I have updated the article accordingly. The rename should be to "Sony AXN (German TV channel)", however. Jmar67 (talk) 07:28, 7 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose – Ambiguous title. What about AXN, AXN (Portuguese TV channel), AXN (South Korean TV channel), AXN (Asia), AXN Beyond, AXN Black, etc....., all owned by Sony? I don't see any evidence this is the PRIMARYTOPIC for Sony AXN, which should redirect to AXN. --- Coffeeandcrumbs 13:27, 8 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I do not understand your objection. Sony AXN is the German language branch of the worldwide AXN network. Jmar67 (talk) 21:26, 8 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • I believe I understand the objection, which is that since there are various different things called "AXN" that are owned by Sony, the term "Sony AXN" is ambiguous. Ambiguous titles should be avoided. —BarrelProof (talk) 19:06, 9 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • The parenthetical should be retained for dab (see above). Jmar67 (talk) 09:15, 10 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • If you understood that, then I think you should have understood the objection. The proposal is to move the article to "Sony AXN", and you seem to agree that the proposal is not desirable because that would be an ambiguous title. —BarrelProof (talk) 16:01, 10 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • I meant that I did not understand the post itself. I do agree that the proposed title is ambiguous but that the move should be supported provided that the dab is retained. Jmar67 (talk) 06:59, 11 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I would still oppose a move to Sony AXN (Geman TV channel) since I do not see any sources that use the term in referring to the channel. Too soon. It has not caught on yet. If RS are using the term "Sony AXN" then maybe yes move to Sony AXN (Geman TV channel). --- Coffeeandcrumbs 18:40, 18 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
