Role in mother's life after the Melcher/Rosenthal swindling?
[edit]It seems like Terry played a major role in righting his mother's estate after the death of his stepfather and the revealing of how he and his business partner Jerry Rosenthal plunged her into debt. He was executor of his step-father's estate, fired Rosenthal, and counseled his mother on what to do.
Pretty big stuff. And it was all happening right after the Tate murder.
Rough life this guy had.
only child
[edit]By saying the only child of Doris Day and her first husband, I am left to wondering if this means this was Day's only child with this marriage or the only child she ever had. I checked and it means the latter but I don't know about him. --24.177.0.156 (talk) 20:07, 8 August 2015 (UTC) Martin_Melcher

MOS:SURVIVEDBY
[edit]Please note that the death section of this article violated MOS:SURVIVEDBY. I removed the commentary about who lived on after he died, as it seemed unnecessary. — BarrelProof (talk) 05:10, 31 August 2022 (UTC)
Terri Melcher or Terri day
[edit]Can someone add to his spouses - I tried but get confused. Spouse Terese Edwards (m. 1998–2004), Melissa E. Brown (m. 1974–1977), Jacqueline Carlin (m. ?–1997) 152.44.65.42 (talk) 22:11, 18 June 2023 (UTC)
Manson Knew/Was Unaware Confusion
[edit]"Manson was reported to have visited the house on more than one occasion asking for Melcher, but was told that Melcher had moved."
"Some authors and law enforcement personnel[who?] have theorized that the Cielo Drive house was targeted by Manson as revenge for Melcher's rejection and that Manson was unaware that he and Bergen had moved out. However, family member Charles "Tex" Watson stated that Manson and company did, in fact, know that Melcher was no longer living there,[12] and Melcher's former roommate Mark Lindsay stated, "Terry and I talked about it later and Terry said Manson knew (Melcher had moved) because Manson or someone from his organization left a note on Terry's porch in Malibu."[10]
Which is it? I'm confused. Porterc5 (talk) 01:57, 6 January 2024 (UTC)
Disastrous album?
[edit]There's exactly one source that affirms the assertion that Summer in Paradise was a "disastrous" album, and that source has no apparent credibility. The article has the Manson Family story about targeting Melcher wrong, and it is marginally literate. Why is an opinion about the album even relevant? Nicmart (talk) 04:30, 18 September 2024 (UTC)
