I would like to start a discussion on the addition/removal of the Travis Diener bandwagon on RealGM.com being mentioned in the trivia section, and the link being included at the bottom of the page.

RealGM.com is one of the biggest and most prominent NBA discussion forums on the internet. The majority of posters there now know who this little third-string point guard is because of the Travis Diener bandwagon and the "cult-like" rabid enthusiasm of its members.

That Diener is that well known, and that the bandwagon has spawned countless imitators from fans of other teams IS trivia, in my opinion. If this were Michael Jordan or Larry Bird, it would be different. But when some of the most interesting trivia on his page is that he was college teammates with Dwayne Wade, then I see absolutely no reason why the mentioning of him being insanely popular on one of the biggest Magic (and NBA) fan forums on the internet isn't worty of mention.

RealGM.com even has its own Wikipedia page. If that site is notable enough to be included in this wiki, then I think the trivia fact and bandwagon thread link are notable enough to be included on Travis Diener's page.

Try adding it again, i cant see a point to removing it again. If they go to do so maybe they will check this first. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.216.92.100 (talkcontribs) 3 November 2006

Diener's Debut

[edit]

The previous edit, before I fixed it, stated that Diener debuted on 12/2/05 by scoring 33 points in 32 minutes in a win against the Memphis Grizzlies. I said to myself, "Travis Diener?! Really?" So I double-checked-- and he scored THREE points in 12 minutes in a LOSS. Seriously, guys. This is a pretty good example of why people make fun of Wikipedia. ekedolphin (talk) 06:26, 14 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
