NPOV

[edit]

I have to admit that this article is Catholic WP:POV, when it should be WP:NPOV.
For example it says he is a martyr, this is obviously POV. To other people he was a criminal.
also that quote at the end "We are innocent, we lose our lives wrongfully, we pray God to forgive them that are the causes of it.", has quite clearly been used to support Catholic POV. This article needs to be toned down. Ijanderson977 (talk) 14:38, 11 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • The article doesn't seem all that bad to me, a couple fixes, as per your message above and it's a go. Why don't you just make the changes you suggest here? I think the quote is OK if it is a true quote, it's what he said. I'm not a big fan of the templates in the articles themselves, it makes it harder for our customers (the actual readers) to read the articles. Jlawniczak (talk) 02:52, 27 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have put the lead into a more standard order, using the phrase "Catholic martyr", i.e. martyr for Catholics. This is surely acceptable, so I'll take the template down. Charles Matthews (talk) 17:56, 22 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
