Wire wheels: Wire wheels#On motorcycles says only main article: Motorcycle construction#Wheels, but that is not a main article, it is a subsection. Bicycle wheel is a better article, but none of these 3 actually explains how spokes support the wheel pre-stressed w/compression.

I don't know what source the author used for the power figures (amongst other things), but I'm 99.9% sure the figure of 71bhp is wildly incorrect, bearing in mind the YICS equipped 750E-II version with (compared to other XJ750 models) 1mm larger carbs, 0.1mm longer stroke, larger valves & lumpier cams, produced 72bhp.
I'm trying to get these articles cleaned up & merged into Yamaha XJ series too but need help finding reliable sources and generally expanding on the articles. anyone want to help?XJ750E-IIbloke (talk) 21:16, 16 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
