Cut and paste move April 2011

[edit]

There was a previous attempt to move this to Yi Geon by cut and paste: Page history of Yi Geon REDIRECT:

Undiscussed "uncontroversial move" db-g6 2012

[edit]

Today a new attempt to move to Yi Geon by Wikipedia:Criteria_for_speedy_deletion#G6 "uncontroversial move" db-g6.

(cur | prev) 09:57, 8 November 2012‎ Kauffner (talk | contribs)‎ . . (143 bytes) (+113)‎ . . ( db-move|Kenichi Momoyama|The subject's notability is as a Korean royal. This is RR spelling per MOS:KO.) (undo)

This evidently requires a RM. In ictu oculi (talk) 11:52, 8 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This looks like pretty blatant wikistalking and harassment to me. If you have a hitherto concealed interest in Korean royals, or if there is another explanation, I'm listening. Kauffner (talk) 18:51, 9 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Kauffner, no I have no axe to grind or interest in the conflict on this article.
But I do have an interest in editors not abusing the db-g6. This is open and fair. If you know of any other editor who has your history with db-g6 please name them. It would be common sense to keep an eye on db-g6 use by any editor who has deleted contrary Talk page RM result tags prior to requesting uncontroversial db-g6 moves in the past.
btw - Who was the admin who enacted your db-g6 despite page history and Talk on the db-g6 redirect? Page history doesn't show for some reason. In ictu oculi (talk) 00:37, 10 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • I am a humble ordinary user. I submit my request, and the admins do what they do. I have no idea who deleted the redirect. I note that the Japanese source that was added calls the subject /Kenichi, which romanizes as "Geon Yi" in RR. He took a common Japanese name to avoid publicity. I suppose a name like “Colonel H.H. Prince Yi Geon” might stand out somewhat in a phone book or at a PTA meeting. But to use his commoner name in the title of the article would be like styling Louis XVI as “Louis Capet” or Nicholas II as “Nicholas Romanov”. Kauffner (talk) 06:01, 10 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Yi Geon's sons

[edit]

I don't think there should be any mention of Momoyama Kouya in the article, since he is a non-royal, i.e. not recognized by the Yi Family Association. But there is another son, Prince Yi Ch’ung / Tadahisa Matsudaira, who has been recognized and is arguably heir to the Korean throne. It seems that he has changed his name more than once, so perhaps he feels very strongly about his privacy. Any thoughts about whether he should be mentioned or not?
