Unusual transclusion

As it stands, Template:UserStatus transcludes User:UserStatus/Status, a page belonging to an as-yet unregistered username (User:UserStatus). Potential for mischief there - I suspect this isn't by design. - TB (talk) 21:10, 6 December 2010 (UTC)

Remove non-free file File:Tednpad-icon.gif

This template is now using File:Tednpad-icon.gif, which is a non-free file. Per terms of WP:NFCC #9, the use of non-free files on templates is strictly forbidden. Please remove it. Thank you, --Hammersoft (talk) 21:43, 29 December 2011 (UTC)

If I could recommend an alternative free image for "working": (Image:Appointment.svg) as in a time clock one punches in before starting work. It's also got a tinge of yellow to match the text color and is circular like most of the rest. -- œ^™ 14:33, 4 January 2012 (UTC)

Status

Hi, Thehotwheelsguy99 – When you create your /Status page, that is where you will go to change your status. As you see, the default is "Somewhere". To show yourself as in, just create your /Status page with "in" (no quote marks). Then go back and edit that /Status page by changing "in" to "away" to show that your are not in anymore. When you return, go to the /Status page and change "away" to "in" again, and so on. The list of "triggers" are what you type on the /Status page to give the different results that are shown. Yes, and there are shortcuts – instead of "in", just "n" will do. Instead of "offline", you can use "out" to save four typing strokes. Look on the edit page of this template to find other shortcuts you can use. Painius  23:42, 22 October 2015 (UTC)

Status

Good evening everyone, I just created my status page as User:GSS-1987/Status and added online in the status page and then i added ({ {UserStatus|User:GSS-1987/Status} }) in my user page but the status is still showing somewhere. I just checked your status page ("away") and your user page which shows you as "away". So if you are still seeing "somewhere", it just means that you must purge your cache. The easiest way is to go to Preferences → Gadgets → Appearance and check the box marked:

"Add a clock in the personal toolbar that displays the current time in UTC (which also provides a link to purge the current page)."

Click the SAVE button at the bottom of the page. Go to your user page and find the timestamp, usually in the upper right corner. Click it and that will purge the page. Hope this helps! Happy holidays! Paine  19:25, 30 November 2015 (UTC)

Status not updating anymore.

Seems like I have to keep purging the cache to get the status to update. I don;t know if it has anything to do with the User:Enterprisey/StatusChanger script or not. Tried clearing browser data and bypassing cache also. Huggums537 (talk) 23:43, 13 September 2021 (UTC)
