In the Dungeons & Dragons fantasy role-playing game, the trilloch is a type of outsider creature.

Publication history

The trilloch first appeared in the original first edition Fiend Folio (1981).[1]

The trilloch appeared in second edition for the Planescape setting in Planescape Monstrous Compendium Appendix III (1998).[2]

The trilloch can be found in third edition in the Monster Manual III (2004).

Description

A trilloch is an extraordinarily rare creature originating on the Negative Energy Plane. It is a creature of pure negative energy that sustains itself on the lifeforce of dying creatures, using its powers to accelerate the dying process.
