The 2010 season was IFK Göteborg's 105th in existence, their 78th season in Allsvenskan and their 34th consecutive season in the league. They competed in Allsvenskan where they finished seventh, Svenska Cupen where they were knocked out in Round 4, Svenska Supercupen where they finished as runners-up and the UEFA Europa League where they were knocked out in the third qualifying round. .
